Hi There! I’m Leah Snow.
My Background
I received a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Riverside in 2018. While taking a year off from school to reflect, learn, and delve into the world of education, I quickly recognized an evident calling to teach. My experiences in my undergraduate studies shaped me into the woman I am. They taught me the importance of giving back to my community, practicing empathy in all facets of life, and how to advocate for those whose voices are often pushed far into the margins. After becoming an Instructional Aide, student teaching, and completing my graduate studies, I am confident in my role as an educator. On a personal note, I love exploring the outdoors, spending quality time with friends, and making memories with my family. As a teacher, I hope to enrich the lives of all students, regardless of ability, background, or interests.

Educational Philosophy
As a teacher, I plan to utilize my knowledge and resources to the best of my ability. The most important part of teaching and learning is the relationships we build with our students. I want to promote inclusivity, encourage diversity, and celebrate my students, regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or interests. Caring for my students' mental health and social-emotional well-being is in line with my educational philosophy. Academic achievement will thrive once all my students' needs are met.

What are my professional goals?
I have dreams and goals of expanding my educational career past the walls of the classroom. I would love to work as an Educational Technology coach or even in Administration one day. I am keen of the idea of embracing change and growing on both a personal and professional level. While I am focused on the next step to obtain a teaching position for now, I know my distant future is bright.
